If you take a look at the average day of the average family you would be surprised by the amount of time they spend watching TV. Films, quizes, news, soap operas, shows and sport - all in one in a little box in your home that is waiting for you to press the button. There is no doubt about it, TV attracts its viewers in every possible way. The rhythm of your everyday life is dictated by the TV programme. You say: 'I can't do this or that because there is my favourite programme on at five. TV sneaks your time from you. In addition, it affects your family life. Just imagine what happens when a family of four, plus a dog, want to watch TV at the same time! There is no good way to solve the problem but to present each of them with a telly. Finally, you gradually loose interest in anything but the pictures moving in front of you and slowly gain the reputation of a person of shallow thinking, poor taste and limited horizons. And the fact that you regularly turn on every one of the seventy seven channels you have got does not help much here.

You may get the feeling that the above words are just exaggeration. Still, there is a grain of truth in it. If you happen to belong to the telemaniacks, be warned to take control over your telly before it takes control over you.
